Nomorestandby.com is an independent website set up by brothers Karl and Aaron Dorn to raise awareness of the standbyplug as a solution to homeowners and business owners increasing energy bills and carbon footprint.

Nomorestandby™ and our sister site standbyplug.com™ are accredited distributors of the Energenie® standby shutdown. Under the umbrella of Standby Plug Ltd

Former Butlins Redcoat, Karl, is a plasterer by day and inventor by night. His idea for the Standby Plug came about in 2006. He entered his idea into an online competition sponsored by Vodafone and SkyOne called The Big Idea. He scooped the £10,000 first prize in January 2007 which he then ploughed into developing the plug and looking for manufacturers.
Anyone who saw the last series of Dragon's Den, saw a similar standby product pounced upon by all 5 dragons (a series first, although the product was later shelved due to patent problems) this served to highlight and publicise the benefits his own idea to a massive TV audience.

Finally two years after the standby idea's conception it has been developed to it's latest guise the energenie standby shutdown®
